Never seen them for thirdgens. I'm sure you could make them with reasonable difficulty. Make a mold and pour it with fiberglass. You could mass produce doors ect and sell them.
So, who would buy these parts if i was to build a mold, and produce these, who all would be interested? post up! i have people that i can use and id like this added to my buisness. a great OEM replica of fenders, deck lids, and maybe doors, all fiberglass and primed ready to paint, and for and extra price, painted to match. anyone interested?

Everything you need can be found here:
VFN Fiberglass - All your fiberglass parts
You can buy a whole damn fiberglass body for a thirdgen Camaro or Firebird.

if you drive your car a lot on the street id suggest staying away from FG doors. a friend of mine had a 94 or 95 mustang gt that got t-boned by a motorcycle on the passanger side and was in the ICU for a good amount of time. oh and the motorcycle was doing 25-30. the doors have NO structural integrity at all. but it coulda been that it was a mustang lol

nvebmxr makes a good point, but maybe they can be reinforced. You can't just lay a ton of fiberglass down to reinforce it though; it would eventually add up in weight and people wouldn't consider it worth it. Maybe even throw some aluminum in there. I would buy it, if I had the cash. I've got other things to fix on my car before I add stuff to it.

Lets see, this is only 5 days old from last post, so I can post
First of all, Corvettes are all Fiberglass, and they are some of the shinest car from the factory, so yes, you can get a great shine from fiberglass. Second, you can drop more then half the weight from a fiberglass fender. On a hood, the stock steel hood is about 60lbs, while a fiberglass hood is only 28lbs.

Correction: Newer Corvettes are all fiberglass. Not the old ones. Chevy still did an amazing job at making them super light however. If you step into an old stingray series corvette, you'll instantly realize why. There's no pointless extra room in there (like back seats fit for half a person).
The real problem with fiberglass is that when it gets screwed up... its screwed up. Metal you can sometimes pull and bang back into shape. Fiberglass just cracks.

The problem is with glass its alot weaker, alot more expensive, and just impractical... he would be much more please with just spending cash on a new350 crate engine instead of a full fiberglass body for 5 grand at that site posted above

Yep, I'll agree. And plus, if you loose in a race you can always say that you're driving a block of steel

I'm estimating that a stock steel fender weighs 10 pounds. So if you replaced both fenders with fiberglass pieces and it were to be half the weight of steel, congrats... you saved a whopping 20 lbs. Doing this would probably cost about $10/pound before paint. There are much much much more cost effective ways to reduce weight from your car.

Well I stand corrected then. I always thought that the older ones were steel. Could be why I've never seen one with surface rust.

because people who know nothing about fiberglass parts are talking about them to other people who know even less.
it would take me a full 45mins to quote and fill out examples, but what it comes down to is.... unless you have a non-street driven drag car, you're better off losing weight elsewhere... and not just for safteys sake or anything stupid like that.
my car weighs 29xx lbs... and its daily driven... hell, i still have the steel hood. lol.
the hood is about the only streetable fiberglass part... everything else is just
from people who obviously havent done it. i honestly donno why they even reply.

Back on topic here.
For the guy who wants to make glass parts. Don't bother doing fenders. They weigh nothing anyways. Stock to lids, and maybe a quarter panel
I can honestly tell you that I would buy a glass door skin. So that I don't have to worry about rust ever again. At least there.
Thats all I got. later.

Guy's,
I had a 76 vette years ago. It was a big heavy turd. The glass was so thick the car probably weighed more than if it was this thin crappy metal they use on our cars today.
