The roller bearing on your botton hinge is causing that poping sound. It must be jammed. It is a replaceable part at your local GM dealer.

i think the sound is comming from where the door meets the fender. will the bearing still stop the pop?

my driver door used to pop. the door was dented and it would hit the fender and kinda snap it back when i would open or close it. i fixed this by grinding a little off the back of the fender...i would reccomend moving the door back a little bit tho b/c the fender split where i grined it down so i had to replace it

Ya, the bearing is located on the lower hinge, right next to the fender. If your door isnt dented and is correctly alligned, the bearing is your problem. Note that to change it, the door will have to be removed.

there could be a few things up
1 is the bushing (you can get the repear kit at a autozone $ like 14$) you would have to bang out the old door pin, drill the hole in the hinge bigger for the new bush to fit.
2 the spring could of popped out or is on the way of popping out, the lever where the spring goes could be lose or worn(this is the spring end that is closer to the jam)
3 the worse thing that it could be is it being the top hinge if it's worn that means that welded top hinge needs to be replaced.
the first thing you should do is open the door a bit not all the way loosen the hinges top and bot then put a car jack at the bot of the door near the handle and jack it up a good amount and tighten the hinges up again see if this works( you might have to take off the fender i did when i replaced my hinges and adjusted the doors.

ok, well im gonna replaec the bushings and bearings on the drivers door beacuse of the door sag. the paint on the kick panel is worn off, does the door sag lead to some particular worn out part?

To diagnose whether the the upper or lower hinge pins and bushings (or both) need to be replaced, have someone help you. Open the door and have them raise and release the bottom of the door while you inspect the upper and lower hinge pins and bushings with a flashlight for movement. If you need more info, do a search for "door hinge pins" using my username. I've covered the topic several times. I sell all the parts and tools to tackle this.
