The camaro is a89 and the trans am is an 84 i have the fenders on, the hood did not line up with the camaro hood latch what other things will need to be taken off the trans am besides the obvious like the bumper and what are the modification needed it seems to fit so far? thanks

i think it will look horrible (and it's been done), but that isn't what you asked so i'll answer your question from a technical standpoint. if you use the fenders, hood, front bumper, front impact bar and front plate that the hood latch mounts to... it will bolt up. The front subframe of the two cars are identical. you have to unbolt absolutely everything and you can swap from one style to the other. As for going to firebird headlights, you will need the entire headlight harness which is the smaller of the two connectors at the bulkhead (goes through the firewall next to the brake booster). I'm not sure if the camaro light switch would trip the relay for the firebird headlights, you will need to figure that part out. You will also need to deal with any ground effects mounting points that might be different (basically, you may have to drill new holes in the rear of the firebird fenders to mount your camaro ground effects to them. Also, the camaro intake that goes over the radiator will not work with the firebird front end, so you will need an air intake from a firebird or some other routing that won't interfere with the lower firebird hood. I think that covers everything, but there may be some other details you would need to iron out.
