Does this happen often?

I found this camaro on ebay. The uni-body pulled away from the floor of the car. The car is rusty underneath, hard to tell how bad. I was just wondering if this is a common problem, as my car has some surface rust. Nothing bad enough to cause this, but just worries me I guess. Is this just the lack of some sub-frame connectors and good bracing? Anyone seen this before? I don't think my little 305 could do that much damage anyways.

Usually it happens in the snow belt states, if the car owners didn't wash off the salt that is put on the roads to melt the snow. Fortunately the seller is letting perspective buyers know in advance. I would never buy a car with that much rust. That's more than "surface rust".
