As a 16 year old kid, whos absolutaly IN LOVE with his car, i sayits possible. If there is any sentimental value in the car, you can do it.
Heres a few things you should check:
If you are thinking of using parts out of it anyways, pull the engine, and check the inner frame rails and k-member. Then pull the interior, and check the door sill metal strip, check if it has waves in it, showing a rearward push, and check the floor pans to see if there is waves in them.
If the floor pans, doors inside and everything from the firewall back check out, this car is savable.
Theres been other posts on here, where the driver has a special attachment to their car, and isnt willing to get rid of it. Its possible to cut the front half of the car (fendermounts, wheel wells, and front subframe) and weld it onto their car.
Its also possible to straiten out what you have, but when bending the metal back, you are loosing a fair amount of rigidity(sp?)
If iwere you, id pull things apart and further asses the damage. Then decide what the vehicle value is, and from there you can either decide that the car has no value past financial, or that it has some personall attachment, and find a car that has rear damage and start some surgery.
If it were in the same situation with my iroc, no doubt id be finding a car and swapping the front framing. Now with doing this, id reccoment a few other small reinforcements.
If you have the skills to weld and bend piping, id reccomend adding some tubing from the firewall, overtop of the wheel wells and down to the front subframe. Id also reccomend some other small re-enforcements to ensure the car will stay together. From there you can do what ever your please.
So if the car is just...well, a car to drive around, im thinking strip the body, and then transfer parts. If the floors are solid, cut the floors out, and sell them. if the quarters are solid, you can cut them off and sell them.
Hope this helps.

You could always take a sledgehammer to it and have a little fun. Or maybe use it as target practice... It doesn't hurt to make the best out of something thats already worthless....

Re: Should I continue??
I was wondering if i can get all the work done like frame straighening, new paint job, and the current dents taken out by just paying for the parts would it be worth it? It would prolly be around $2000-$2500 for the whole job of getting it road worthy and looking good. What do you guys think?

I have seen decent Z28s in your area for the kind of cash you are wanting to put into your car I just don't see why you would want to go that way ....
I still agree with the masses find a better car and use the extra parts on it or resell the parts to finance the new one Good luck!

in my opinion id stop now and buy a different car. grab what you can off the one you currently have and get rid of this one. made the same mistake in my dumber days when i thought bondo and rivets could fix a whole car. needless to say my camaro is probably a paper weight while my gta sits in the garage now. too much money to pull something off that isnt "show" quality.

Re: Should I continue??
when I was 16 (9 years ago) I bought a 84 z28 red/ gold combo.. it had a carbed 305 and a t5 that literally came in a box and 5 gallon bucket... I had big plans for my $500 camaro... I know it was junk now... bad paint, repulsive interior, underneath was all surface rust (no holes suprisingly) at the time to me it was a vechile that looked perfect to me, so I understand how you feel.. as for setemental value it wasn't my first car, I bought my 66 mustang at 14 with money I made washing dishes at a restraunt.. That is a project that in the last 10 years I have put 3x its value in EASILY... so I have been on both sides of the argument, setimental, and realistic.. . but for the camaro in the end, it had too many problems to deal with and my bodyshop friend took it as partial trade on my mustangs paintjob.... so I still have it in a haphazard sort of way.. if its important to you do it... it will not be quick, easy, and at times you may hate the project... but just getting the car as it sits, I think you should trade it for a paintjob.. if you get my drift...
