Gauges
I was wondering if i bought a 1980s third gen and i have the gauge cluster for a 1991 third gen could i put the gauges from the 91 into the 80s style third gen? also my friend could buy a 1993 camaro for pretty cheap (between $400-600) and it has a blown motor, would it be worth it to buy that and swap the engine for pretty much free(very cheap swap). would that be worth it? (putting the LT1 into it) Thanks
The 91/92 dash is different then the 82-90.
I just swapped out the entire dash in my 84 to get the 92 cluster to work. It's actually easier to do that, then to try and rig something up to make it work with your old dash.
Do a search on here, and you'll see my thread on what I had to do.

So pretty much all i would have to do is to switch the whole dash and do a little wiring?
I had to swap out the heaterbox too, because my 84 didn't have air so it used the cables to open the vents on the floor. But if you get an earlier 3rd gen that has A/C already, I believe you could just skip all that.
