firebird cowl

I want to put a five or six inch cowl on my 87 trans am but im having trouble finding one. So I found a rivit or bond on cowl from Harwood an summit is the best way to bond or rivit it on or is there a better way, maybe epoxy? Or will this just look competly stupid, and if any one has done this please post a picture. Thanks

Did you check the sponsors? G&T Fiberglass makes a 5" cowl hood. They might be able to swing one for a 'bird.

If you don't want a commercially available hood, then you'll have to have someone make one for you, or fabricate your own. Depending on the material (metal, fiberglass, etc.), I would either weld or do some careful epoxy work to make sure you do a good job.
