those felt things go on your door at the top where the window seals. do you want the seal that goes around the underside of the door and seals to the body or do you want the seal that goes up the Apillar and down the Bpillar to seal the window glass. more specific plz/

i want the strip that goes on the top of the door that seals the window (so the water doesnt run inside the door frame. the piece that i think you need to get to bolts that are behind the window.

I found the Chevy Dealership to be a huge help. Their computer shows detailed pictures of each piece and when I get the name of the part I'm looking for, I either buy it from them or they're pretty good about recommending aftermarket manufacturers.

Look on ebay they have them new all the time, a little pricy though I just replaced mine. They are called window sweeps.

hawksthirdgenparts.com, they have the felt and the moulding. but go to your dealership because it may be cheaper to buy the part there than order the parts online and ship them.

Wal-mart save

I went to wal-mart and got this sticky weatherstrip that goes for windows in houses and/or doors. Not exactly sure but anyways i replaced my 87 z28 stripping in most areas and it works great and it was like 10 bucks for some odd foot. Got alot left after doing most of the problem spots >8)

Get them at www.gmpartsdirect.com

Much cheaper than the dealer, and high quality original GM parts.

I just took a look at the www.gmpartsdirect.com.

Looks like they are special order, I emailed them to see how long it would take to get them.

But here is something odd, I added them to my cart. Then when I viewed the shipping they want to charge me $9.97 for 1 side, and $6 for the other side?

Can't they put them in the same box to save on shipping? Does everyone else get the same charges?

If they are backordered, how are the ones from A1 Auto? All the mounting holes match up, fits like OEM?

They came in two very long boxes. I'm guessing you get a discount for the second box. I went with GM part direct because I wanted real GM parts, not some copy that cost me more than GM parts. The sweeps fit very well and are very high quality. I can't speak to the quality of the A1 parts. I did this once and used good parts. Won't have to worry about it for many years to come.

Do NOT buy the Ebay ones. I went that route, not knowing that GM still offered these window sweeps. Now, I understand about trying to save money on shipping, but they company I bought my sweeps from folded them in half, and to do so really distorted the metal. Those areas have never worked themselves back out, and those pieces fit horribly as a result.
