Body Mods for 88 Z28

This might be chasing a wild goose, but I've got to know. I've got a book, "How to tune up your 82-92 Camaro," that shows a body mod I can't find anywhere else. It is a Targa style liftback, reminiscent of a Ferrari, that replaces the back glass. According to the book it was a production modification at one time.

Any body have any ideas where I could find something like this or and other places where I can find parts/mods?

That's what it sounds like to me.

Were there any factory notch backs? I remember seeing soemone say something about factory notch backs, which I though was weird.

Yea but only on Firebirds, in limited years, and very limited numbers. They do not look good though IMO. The factory ones that is. The side is at an identical angle as the sail panel is. It makes the car look off. The one from Hawk's, which appears to be based off the Baldwin Motion Notchback, has a changed angle that is simlar to the angle of the hatchback glass and keeps the car having a balanced look.
