Re: Who makes this hood?
I was kinda thinking that myself, I found a 5" cowl on hawksthirdgenparts.com but it just dont have those nice sharp edges like you said. Plus I dont think that one is a 5"? Maybe a 3" I am looking to keep a nice low profile...might have to make one???

Re: Who makes this hood?
Actually I have found very few, I found a 5" pin on hood and a 3" but it did not have these sharp edges and it had a lip that hung over the cowl. I was just wondering if anyone ever seen this exact hood or if it was a custom job...I am leaning towards custom at this point. Either way I will have one, lol! Mmmmmm I wonder if I could fit a roots type supercharger under it...lol!

Re: Who makes this hood?
it could also be fiberglass with additional styling. u could do anything with fiberglass if u know how to use it.

Re: Who makes this hood?
The problem is I dont know how to use it...lol! I am an excellent sheet metal fabricator though and I have access to a brake and english wheel and a few other things at work so I might just buy a used hood and try making my own. I think even 3" is alittle too high for my taste I would like to make one about 2".

Re: Who makes this hood?
if youre going to make youre own, a cool thing ive rarely seen is using the stock hood vents in the cowl where they would be on the stock hood. ive only seen this in a couple pics. if theres a company that makes it then i would get one for my bird.

Re: Who makes this hood?
It actually looks to be a Harwood hood. You can tell by the middle rib in the center of the cowl and the two stock "V" lines. Looks identicle to mine. Maybe an inch bigger of a cowl though.

Re: Who makes this hood?
I agree, it does give it a sportier look with the stock "v-lines"

----------
Its actually a bolt-on hood, but I added the hood pins because there have been a couple of times when I've been driving down the road and not closed the hood right and have had a few scares. I don't know what kind of hood it is, since the previous owner is the one who had it installed...

Re: Who makes this hood?
Its all about taste. Everyone has different taste, I myself am not a fan of vents on my hood, but beside looks I think the cowl hood will realy help keep the under hood temps down. I would imagine though you could install the factory vents from your old hood, it might look pretty good and you could create a new trend
