POR-15/carpet replacement questions....

Alright, Just did a trans swap, to find out I need a driver side floor pan... Im going to put POR-15 on the floor pan, new and old. I went to the POR website, and read that you cant put it over painted surfaces. True? or did I just mis-read it. Also, How much should I get? There starter kits say it can do 12 SQ FT. So I would just order 2 of those....

Also, going to swap the interior to black. Need new carpet. From what ive read and searched, ACC is the most popular, but fades. Im not going to go to walmart and buy cheapie carpet too, so noone say that.

Thanks!

I just used POR--15 for the first time yesterday. A little goes along way, I felt like I could paint a line from here to China with just a quart.

Re: POR-15/carpet replacement questions....

1 quart will be fine. use brush, not sponge brush.

acc carpet is decent, i had gray and it never faded with but i also had a hardtop and it wasn't sitting out in the sun every day.

acc or acs/dorsett carpet is fine. 800 if your on a budget or acs 1000 if you want the nicest molded carpet you can get without having someone professionally build a carpet set just for you.

good luck.
