i have a 1992 trans am ws6 and i want to put either a 2or4" cowl hood on it. it has the rounder bumpers not the boxy styles and i cannot find a picture of that car with the cowl hood, everyone seems to be running the ram air hood but i'm a fan of a nice bolt on cowl hood. i'm lookin for pics and i need to know what company makes the hood.

 

This is one of the sharpest TA's I have seen and I am going to try to make an exact copy of it...I think the hood is a Harwood 3" from Jegs it sells for $462.99

Edit I see you have that long rounded kinda pointed front end I dont think a cowl hood would look good on your car I would go with maybe something like the dual snorkel ram air hood or change the bumper cover.

 

get the two inch cowl , one guy on here from connecticut i think it is 305fbss or something like that had a black 91 or 92 ta with chrome 5 spokes and has 315s on the back has a cowl and it looks great . so search someone along the lines of the name i posted.

 

i have the different style bumpers and wing on my car so i'm thinking it will probably look different.

i thinkk the cowl starts way to far back should start farther forward like all the way at the front

 

i agree i'm not going to go with the 4", i like the hood on the black car up top even though it is only like a 2"

glasstek has a 4"cowl hood that starts at the front of the hood, does anyone have any pics of a type of hood like that on the gta? I'm just trying to see how the hoods look on my car.(rounded bumpers and the flat smooth wing)

so nelapse, i assume you 'glassed a cowl onto a stock hood? didnt notice that before, looks good with the cowl starting farther back

I see lots of pics,but none of what chevrunner21 originally asked for.so chevrunner21,my opinion is get a ramair II hood.I think the look is much nicer than a plain cowl.

 

i wanted to go different because all of the cars like mine have the ram air. i'm not a big fan of the ram air hood.
