Welp.....My crazy ex girl friend managed to throw a rock threw the windshield of my z28....any body have an idea of where to get a cheap replacment.....if they make a "cheap" replacment....

 

try some local glass shops..around here most places charge about 200 bucks for a new windshield.. or if u want u could try some junkyards, buying new weatherstripping for ur car and replacing it yourself or bringing it to a glass shop and let them install it for a couple bucks..

 

Just paid for a windshield $260.00 with the molding and thay were giving me a break on the price or at least thats what thay said.

 

Just paid $263 today and I have to take it back on Monday. The molding isn't sitting very tight to the body or glass leaving gaps under the edge. They're going to take out the molding, trim the bottom edge a bit and try installing it again.

 

eh....i called around at one of the glass shops today.....they will install a new windshield with molding for $165

 

try calling around some more but thats a pretty good price, i'd go for it

 

That is as cheap as you will find. Do it.

 

Be sure to specify if you want tinted window (that blue tint at the top of the glass) or not. There will be a slight price difference. You don't want to go through getting a new windshield and discovering it's not what you had or want.

 

Yup, mine is tinted and the glass itself was $155.
