Jinxed

As of right now it seems I am never destined to own a Trans Am. My first one (red '86) was totalled off. Ten months later I found the T/A I currently own (blue/silver stripes, done up 350 etc).
So I just started university so I decided to leave my car at home initially because it would be just another thing to worry about and whatnot. About a two days ago I call my folks about something when I get this story: I heard it was gonna rain so I went to roll up your window, so then I started your car up (power windows) before i got it started I flooded it then once it started up it backfired (While driving the car it has never backfired on me)--this resulted in the engine turning into a giant flammable monstrosity--now since I'm like 3hours away I havent seen anything with my own eyes but obviously all the plastic hoses and everything like that is melted to hell, and the paint on my hood is all buggered up.
Have any of you guys had such crappy luck with third gens?
