Re: cowl hood question
I can relate to the fiberglass cowl hood I had one and fitment was poor.If I was going to get another cowl hood it will be steel. Goodmark sales steel hoods.
Re: cowl hood question
ive been told goodmark is good the only thing i really dont like is how it ends flat by the windshield i like the style like the glasstech hood

Pretty good selection of hoods and scoops, depending on what you need.

Some brands fit much better than others. They all can be made to fit with some work though, some just take more work.

Re: cowl hood question
if total weight isnt an issure and you have a regular hood... just get a fiberglass cowl and have it molded to the hood... then cut out the inside..
heres my stock hood w/ cowl ( i bought it this way, well white but i flat blacked it)

before the flat black

Re: cowl hood question
That thing sits really low in the front. The shape of that scoop looks very similar to my American Sports Car Design hood.
Re: cowl hood question
I have a cervini's fiberglass hood, and it fits perfect. I bolted it on, aligned it (took maybe 10 min) and was good to go. This hood is really second to none. I have a 3" cowl too BTW.
Do a search and you will see what I'm talking about...nothing but good things!
Oh, and if your bodyman complains about fiberglass hoods being bad...he must not be very good or has painted a lot of sh*tty fiberglass hoods.

Re: cowl hood question
i have a VFN hood on my bird, and i just found out its a 4.5" hood, not a 4" like i always thought
, it fit perfectly, though it needed a bit of finish work

Re: cowl hood question
I actually do not have any pics of the hood, I haven't had a chance, but i will search for the thread i started when I was thinking about buying one and asking for pics.
EDIT: Here is the thread I started, but do a search for cervini's and you should get a bunch of pictures.
