do you know that a company already makes what you're describing? can't remember which one, but it's one of the site sponsors.

Re: building 5" spoiler

I think you'll find in the end that you would've been better off spending the money on the product they already created. It won't be easy or cheap to produce your own high quality custom part, so you're usually better off just buying from a company if it's already out there. I wish you luck if you decide to make it yourself, but don't expect it to be cheap or easy.

Re: building 5" spoiler

WELL, I HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH FIBERGLASS FROM BUILDING BOATS, AND I HAVE PLENTY OF RESIN AND GLASS MAT AND CLOTH TO MAKE IT. I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HAD MADE ONE. AND I DONT LIKE THE LOOK OF THE ONES YOU CAN BUY AS MUCH AS ONE THAT I COULD BUILD SO I DIDNT WANT TO SPEND $300 ON BUYING ONE JUST YET.

Re: building 5" spoiler

I think it would look awesome. Does anybody know if they make a ducktail spoiler for the third gen Firebird? I always liked em on the 2nd gen Birds and would like to find one rather than have to build my own. I could probably use the center piece from a camaro but the outside pieces might be tough to build.

Remember.....Drive it like you stole it!!!
