All u have to do.....if the gears are still intact (which they should be if its not broke; if it hasnt been slammed or damage, (other than the pulldown not working,) ) anyway, if the gears are still intact you can take the back of the motor apart, and crank down the gear manually. ive done it before; it works perfectly.

Before you go taking it apart try re-setting it. Sometines the pull-down unit will stop before the reversing switch has been tripped to end the cycle. If so it won't go down or up until it has been re-set. Here's how: Reach into the hole where it pulls down and press the striker-sensing switch. It is a small black switch that looks like a paddle that is forward of the latch as you look into the hole. You may need a flashlight to see it. The switch SHOULD energize the pull-down to finish the down-cycle, you'll hear a CLICK which is the reversing switch tripping. Release the switch and the pull-down unit should power all the way up and CLICK again ending the up-cycle. Done, succesfully re-set. Remember that you must hear the CLICk at the end of each cycle up or down. If this doesn't work then follow the Tech Article I wrote that is posted on TGO.
