Iroc hood mod
I went to the junkyard and found a Iroc hood with the louvers missing so I bought it and was thinking of doing something different then running around trying to find these plastic louvers.
I was thinking of maybe putting diamond plate there or sheet metal to make it look like a Z28 hood, what are your thoughts on this?
Also here are some pictures of the hood if you could photoshop diamond plate were the plastic louvers go I would appreciate it.

Re: Iroc hood mod
i agree. if you have not bought the hood, save your self the trouble and find another one. the two rear corners are dented along with a dent in the right side. lots of work for a junk yard hood.

Well I already fixed the passenger side corner dent sticks up a little bit but I can live with it and there is no other dent besides the tiny ones that almost every hood has.
And I already know someone local that might have some louvers that I can buy, and I can not pass this deal up $31 and these hoods are not easy to find that are cheap and local and not rusted or smashed.

Re: Iroc hood mod
Could they really not justify making it an even $30?

It did come to $30 even but sales tax was a $1.95.
