hey guys, i need a favor, could you measure how much extra clearance your cowl hood has at 27 inchs from the edge of the nose, this would be close to the place where the fan shroud is.

could you please tell the size of the cowl, how much distance you have and what brand hood it is, thanks

im building a turbo setup and placing the turbo behind the radiator up high, so it will need a cowl hood, i just need to know how much room that i will have to work with, so i know how high i can place the turbo.

 

so nobody here has a cowl hood huh?, I figured that out of all the cars with cowl hoods someone would help

guess im just going to make my own hood

 

Are you wanting birds with cowl hoods or does it matter?

 

it doesn't matter, any hood measurements would work,

 

Firebird hood lines sit lower to begin with. No measurement on how much, but for example. It something just BARELY fit under a Camaro hood, it would be an inch or two THROUGH a Firebird hood.

So Firebird numbers really wouldn't help much.

 

I didn't think about that, thanks stephen. so i guess i need a firebird cowl hood measurement. this is going on a trans am btw
