Hi, guys. I'm kind of new to the forum but I've been lurking for about 6 months. I recently got my first third gen - an '87 Iroc. One of the fog lights are cracked and now I have several options.



Option A) Replace the lens
Option B) Purchase a set of used oems that are a little clearer
Option C) Purchase an aftermarket set


I'd like to purchase an aftermarket set as long as they are pretty much the same size and shape, and are not $10 Walmart specials. I want this car to be as stock looking as possible and it is currently undergoing a 91-92 aero-style facelift.

I just replaced the fog lights on my '94 Trans Am with aftermarkets from BlingLights.com. They are brighter then my headlights and that is not something totally necessary for the Camaro.



So, post some pics of what you have, give me your opinions, and hopefully some makes/models of what looks good.

 

I went to Wally World and got the Hyper-Whites for $30. Check Pep Boys also. They were a direct fit for my T/A.

 

Thats what i would say as well. Sometimes you can get a much nicer set from walmart or an auto parts store then you can with the OEM

 

Can I see some pics? Not necessarily lit, but daylight front end shots? I'm going to Advance Auto after work today to pick up some header gaskets for my TA, so I'll take a walk through the fog lights. I tend not to look through them because of the cheap/***** appearance of most of them.

 

i dotn have fog lights on my car so sorry no pictures.. another thing you could try is in my town we have this car audio shop which also sells lights.. they have a decent selection of fog lights/driving lights for around $40.

My lights were pretty well shot so I got a set of the ElCheapo Blazer lights and mounted on the grille. Looks stock but these lights are pretty much junk. If your lights are in otherwise decent shape I'd sure keep them and replace parts as needed since they have the heavy brackets etc.

 

i bought cheap $30 ones and they fit perfectly in my gta bumper. all i used from the new set was the bulb and lens. the oem bracket and everything else worked fine with the new stuff.
