91-92 camaro gfx bracket?
91-92 camaro gfx bracket?
anyone know if you can still purchase the side gfx brackets for 91-92 camaros?
or by any chance does someone here have one... looking mainly for the front drivers side (not sure if sides matter) that help the gfx attach to the front fender. basically behind the z28 emblem?
lost my brackets when i took my car apart 2 years for paint and it's the last piece i need to have it all back together..

I work at a GM dealership i can check and see if they still sell them new if you want??? let me know
Re: 91-92 camaro gfx bracket?
sure please do as i've tapped all my gm resources and can only find the bracket if you buy a new gfx and there is only one remaining left in the system. if you look into it you'll find out where..
Re: 91-92 camaro gfx bracket?
ok let me ask all of you this since over 100 people have looked!
does anyone know for a fact what other years in the thirdgen production you can mix and match this bracket to mount the side gfx.
for example: did this vary on the irocs or the trans am models?

Just go to a JY and find a 91 or 92 and take the bracket you need off. . . . You dont need a new one do you?

Kandied. I dont see why the bracket would be any different between rs/z28. I believe it is different for camaro to bird, but have not verified that.

Kandied, if I remember right (on my 91) there is a front & back bracket, along with the rocker "rail" that are used to fasten the rocker panel gfx. Is this the bracket your asking about? I dont' have an answer as to where to buy it but if you can tell me which one you need I may be able to machine / fab one up that is up to snuff quality wise for you to use.
Re: 91-92 camaro gfx bracket?
I have 3 others sitting in my garage but i don't want to pull apart other cars to do this as i'll eventually need another. i didn't think it would be this difficult to find but it seems to be.
as for the bracket being new or used honestly it wouldn't matter as long as it's in good shape. i can sand blast it and coat it so it's basically new again. with this particular piece being the last piece that would be ok.

Your still fairly new here. Kandied is known for having one of the nicest thirdgens on the board. You dont get that status by just picking up any junkyard part. Its details like this that wrap it all up.

i can't imagine it would be too different as that would incure more costs to gm... but the fact i do know is that i don't know.

how much shipped to 48047 michigan? as long as it isn't all bent up or rusted out meaning i could clean it up, paint it to keep it from rusting and use it i'd like it.
let me know as i can't find one anywhere... i know they are out there but i'm just not having any luck.

i know for a fact it is not different between 91-92 camaros however i do not know if it is different from other year seperation camaros such as iroc models. also i do not know if the bracket is different from the pontiac versions.

The 86-90?? (fiberglass w/o vents) didnt even have brackets on them.. or atleast the ones I took off a j/y car. They had studs that went strait into the body. So you will need 91-92.
Agree on chevy to pontiac.

I'm 99% sure I have one also. Working right now, I'll send you a pic in the morning. Seeing as how you've been looking for awhile, about $200.00 should cover it + shipping! j/k
I'll go easy on ya.

Kandied - Just so we're on the same page, I've attached pics of the bracket. If you want it, PM me your address and I'll put it in the mail tomorrow. How fast do you want it?

Re: 91-92 camaro gfx bracket?
I looked for some new ones a few months ago. I came to the conclusion that there are no new ones
. I ended up taking them off of a parts camaro that I had. It takes a little work to drill out the 14 or so spot welds
. That was on an 89 though. My guess is that you will need to find someone to get the bracket from if you can't get to a junk yard car.

Re: 91-92 camaro gfx bracket?
yes i just found this out... they all have brackets but the irocs and pontiacs are different from the 91-92 camaro. the camaro aero kit brackets have little wings and are not universal on each side of the car. they are actually labeled left and right. i need a left or drivers side... well actually i'll take both a left and a right if someone had them.
please let me know. thanks!

hmm... more about the time. i don't have the time unfortunately to even think about messing around with that. it just seems easier to track one down that someone has laying around... seemed easier i should say.

please let me know. thanks!
