Re: Help me power mirror lens replacement
The glass itself is the same, but the way they attach to the motor is different. the back of the power mirrors have two plastic screws and a metal "+" that holds the mirror in. If you don't have that + don't even bother putting it in cause it will fall out as soon as you shut the door. If i remember correctly the + in 4th gen mirrors is the same but the mirror is bigger. Just pop it out of 4th gen power mirror, but be careful not to break the + or the plastc retaining tabs on the mirror.

Just the glass itself is avalible at autozone. It has double sticky back. Just pull off the paper and stick. I did this to my passenger side three years ago and no problems. Just look on there web site. It is made specifily for our cars.

I just found a driver's side replacement at Pep Boys for about $7 & no shipping! It is real glass. I have tried the ones you "cut yourself", they kinda look like a fun house mirror when you are done. This one can fit either drivers or pass side (doesn't magnify) PN#99004
