Side Damage to 91 Camaro z28

I have a 91 Camaro which I put alot of time and money into to find this! It seems to drive straight and be fine. However It was definitely in an accident. With the prices of Camaro's going up! I was thinking of keeping it and fixing it correctly! New floor pan. I have a full gm quarter for it already and the rocker panel. I just need the inside structure for the quarter! I can either send $3000 to get it fixed and painted the way I want it or start over and buy a camaro for 3000 and then have to spend more money to get it painted the way i want it anyway! Sorry for the rant it was on my mind! Do you guys think i should fix it or get another!

Sounds like you really like it. The exterior looks good, so I would fix it and have it painted the way you want which is the option I could tell you were wanting to do from your post.

Does anyone know what the average is to have a frame checked for straightness?

Go to your local shop and tell them you want to fix the car but you have to wait a few months to get up the cash. Ask them to please put it on the rack and check the frame to ensure it is straight before you can committ to fixing it!!!

Is their something wrong with the car as drivibility? If not save your money & use it for something else. But then again its your money.

Well, it definitely looks like it got monkey'd up pretty bad at some point, but it's in an area that's not super important. How is the underside? Is the framerail/LCA mount in good shape? Does the door close/line up well? If so, I'd keep it, it'll never show once the carpet and stuff is back in.

Re: Side Damage to 91 Camaro z28

Thanks for the input guys! I had the car checked out today and everything was good! They most have fix it awhile ago =) So it is going to my buddy's paint shop to get done this week! Should I paint black racing strips on it on not! It is going the original color teal. What do you think would be of more value on the car concerning the strips?

I think I'd leave the stripes off for now.
You can always do vinyl decal stripes for cheap to see if you like the look on your car.
Anyway, glad to hear its in good shape!
