oh man...

Ok, I bought an 89 Firebird a few weeks ago. I thought I could fix it up, but as it turns out, I can't afford all the repairs it need. It runs well (I think I may have a slight fuel pressure issue, but otherwise), it has 140000 miles, T-tops. It could be a really nice car for someone who can do the work themselves. The body is a mess...it needs a new front bumper, driver side panel, hood, mirrors, driver side headlight casing, and today I was told that the quarter panel had been wrecked and repaired as well. The electric is a homemade nightmare, but with the occasional jiggling of wires, seems to be holding up well enough. The interior is also trashed. I didn't want to get rid of it, but the more I get into it I find that for me, it's a lost cause. I would be interested to hear feedback on what I should try to sell it for. I really have no idea, and as much as I don't want to undersell, I really don't want to overprice it. I don't have any pics, but I can try to give as much detail as possible. I don't want to junk it, it really does have some life left in it with the proper love and attention. Thanks.

Oh man.

I had my wrecked (not totaled) 91 v6 for sale for $500 OBO or trade for parts and I got no bites on TGO, Craigslist, or Autotrader. Nobody loves a dead v6.

You should call the Salvation Army and have them pick it up as a donation. It's an automatic $500 write off on next year's taxes. That's what I did.
