Re: price question on 87 irocz
That is a tuff call.
See, I could probably find a rust free roller where I am for about $600 – $700 pretty easily, which would still have everything attached, so plenty of extras.
So for me, the questions would be.
What are my goals?
Am I trying to make it a race are, restore it as a show car, or daily driver, or just plain fun hobby car.
Based on the answer to that question I can then try to determine if the rest of the bonus parts this car comes with is worth an additional $1300 - $1400 dollars.
Frame connectors a pretty cheap and relatively easy to install.
True duels can be a blessing or a curse depends on the quality of the job the previous owner did.
I would have to look up the cost of a used MSD ignition, and more specifically, the type he used.
The borg warner is pretty common, it’s a nice to have, but definitely not worth too much extra. About 50% of my project cars have them.
The following are your true wild cards:
“extra set of rims with slicks. it has a brake control kit in it. slp headers for the exaust. new radiator. elec fans. it has drop springs on it. and comes with low profile oil pan.and has a alum. drive shaft with it”
Rims and slicks, are all over the place in price depending on the brand and condition.
The new radiator, well that could be a huge wild card also, stock replacement would run somewhere around $150.00, but a custom race one can run from $350 - $650 or potentially more.
So really, I would sum up what I think all these extras are worth, then add that to the base value of a roller, and come up with your price.
Also noting that 90% of the time people ask for a value above what they think it is worth.
The value they ask for is their ideal amount they want.
The person might easily take $1500 for it.
Unless he says he is firm on the price.
And what firm on the price means is that, right now, he is firm on the price, in a couple of months, that firmness may be at a lower price if it does not sell.
Hope this helps
