Access to front turn signals?

'90 IROC... got a turn signal burned out on the passenger front.

Laying under the front of the car I can see the housing, and I can put my hand on it, but I can't seem to turn it. Feels like maybe there is some kind of catch? Who designed this anyway? Geez. Surely there must be a trick I'm missing?

Doesn't appear to be any way to access this through the top (which is nuts). The black plastic splash panel under there seems to be held in with one-way clips (by which I mean, once they're installed, you can't remove them).

I have an 88 Iroc and had my sidemarker go out but I pulled out the front light anyways to check and it had a little clip you have to hold down and then turn to get off.

Re: Access to front turn signals?

i have the good fortune to have access to my nephews lift . mine had road tar and dirt in that area . its easy to break 20yr.old brittle plastic , i know . the good part was that i had the black/euro cuts to put in to replace the original lites . it is possible to do from above , but easier from below . good luck .

Yeah, breaking it was my concern. Thanks for the info, I guess I'll keep poking at it.
