smoker windows

Does anyone know if there are any of those dark plastic pieces that go around the top of the window so that you can open your window a little in the rain?

Re: smoker windows

I'm gonna say that they don't make these for our cars. You would need a frame around the top of the window in order to mount them. Even if they would mount to the roof you would have to roll the window down in order to open the door. Just a guess.

I hate those things -- they just scream "my AC broke and I'm too poor to fix it", esp. on late model cars. So ghetto. Just add chrome fender lip flares and stainless stick on rocker accent panels to complete the look.

Re: smoker windows

older dodge avengers had no frame at the top of the window and i had a friend with one of those window things on them. I was clueless how it worked but i do know that they made them reguardless of the frame of the door, it was just extremely shallow and you probably got maybe 1/4-1/2 an inch to open it before you got water?? Not sure, but i would check for dodge avenger, see if you can find an old one and get measurements and see if it's similar, i think the door opening was similar, you would have to measure. Also check maybe mitsubishi eclipse.

Thats some funny stuff right there. I have never seen these either for these cars. I would like to know howgood they would work mounted to the roof. I mean, you would obviously have to change the angle so the doors could open and close.

Re: smoker windows

I have used "vent visors" <---brand name on several cars. Nothing wrong with them. The main reason I use them is for venting the car in the summer. It lets me leave the windows down a little while parked at work. I dont have to worry about heat build up as bad or a pop up rain shower soaking the interior.

I have them on my Jeep Grand Cherokee, but they are not for every vehicle.

I remember seeing them for the mid 90's mustangs. I dont remember those doors having frames. I dont think I have ever seen a set for a thirdgen.

Re: smoker windows

i have them on my 1998 pontiac bonneville. i love them, and mine are real shallow. that and the bra i have on it make it look really sporty. i like them. i don't think you can get them for these cars, i haven't seen them. but im sure if you really really wanted them, you could make something work out.
