I just picked up an 87 z/28 thats been sittin for 8years after an accident with a deer.i just got it started yesterday seams tobe running pretty well I think theres more damage from sitting than the actual accident.Hope to have it on the road by july need to install new windshield and exhaust.

Re: After 8 years off the road its back
i also agree about the louvers....when I was first looking for a thirdgen, i found a 5-speed iroc (87?) online for 3500, with 60,000 miles. went back the next day and it was gone. i just remember the first thing to go would have been the louvers on the back glass. Thread Starter

As far as the louvers they are staying.. I'm 46 and that was the in thing back then and still like them. My kids also like them off, but its my car and they're staying..

No I got it repainted original color.
