door side skirt

any one know of how to fasten the little trim piece on the door of an 91 rs so that it doesnt bow out? i think it looks like crap. let me know.

remove door panel . there are a total of 5 nuts holding item on door , 3 are under door panel . sounds like one or more of the studs have broken off . don't worry it can be repaired , remove item , retreive stud , clean , epoxy , set overnite , good to go . i just did mine after removal for paint , check the other studs also . you may want to back them out and epoxy them , i did .

If its bowing out. Then the metal hold down strip is damaged. You will need to bend it back into somewhat its original shape.

Or, some of the pop rivets that hold the rubber onto the metal strip are gone. You can just re-pop rivet that.

But to get it off, Tom is correct. 5 nuts, 3 are behind the door panel

so like the inside door panel your talking about?

like yea , it's the big panel covered with fabric that has the armrest in the center . ( just kidding ) while your there follow JamesC link as he stated above . i did and more , windows and doors are much better now . you don't open the door up like that everyday . good luck young man .

another thing my doors are like really hard to shut completly. but if i have the window down just a bit it shuts easier but still have to slam. but if i hate it down then it leaks.

If you have scrape marks at the rear of the door (inside the car), you probably need new door pins. Check TDS.
