How to put ground effects on a non GFX car

I have a 85 sport coupe. Its ready for paint but i want to throw side skirts on. The rear bumper is easy, just drill wholes in rear quarter. The side under the doors have mounting brackets welded to the body from factory. Can i buy a bracket online to correct this or is there an easier way

you need special mounting brackets for the gfx.
you will have to tap and drill holes. all along the body of the car for the side skirts i beleive its like 6 or 7 holes that need to be drilled.
same thing for the gfx on the doors..

its tought to align the door gfx with the side skirt. but take measurements and make marks.
if you are off just a hair. drill on the same hole but down . obviously.

it took me with a lift..
about 2-3 hrs a side.
its such a pain in the ***. but its worth while in the end.

ill post some pics of my before and after.

i just avoided your question.
yes you need 2 "brackets"

its one looonnnnggg bracket thats the length of the one side of the car. that has slits in certain locations to accept screws for the gfx/
i tried getting them from my local chevy dealer. but obsolete.

they looked up some vintage place for the long brackets.
they were around 50-60 bucks each. you need 2.
good luck

any idea on part numbers or what. Thanks for response. I can do anything on these cars but thought skirts were going to be easy.

do not have any part numbers. but i beleive there is a business called "vintage auto parts" or something like that.
if you have patience and time...

it can be done. but dont be surprised if you take measurements 6 times and it comes out slightly crooked. it will happen.
go on your favorite search engine and do a search on that business. if anything ill call my parts friend and ask him for a website or a phone number.
