help! i can't find a battery tray for my 89 trans am anywhere. i've tried all the suppliers including the ones on this site and no one has them. i would like to have an origional part instead of fabbing one so i really need some help.

There are others that sell this part also. Classic Industries has it in their printed catalog but not listed on line, or at least I couldnt put my finger on it..
but, this is probably the part your looking for.

ive been through the same deal with the battery tray, i was just about at the end of my rope.... thanks for saving me the headache of building one.

 

Yeah, I hear ya! I have been searching for one too and could never find one in the bone yard that was any better than mine.

 

are the camaro and firebird trays exactly the same?

 

yes they are the same.

on a side note, I had to pull the battery tray out of my 01 s10 blazer the other day.. It would fit in nicely and it bolts in with 3 bolts. passenger side batterys only by the way...
