Hey guys this is my first time posting on these forums. Well let me start from the basic. I own a 1986 El Camino and I am looking for a new hood since I hate the old style hood they had. Well I only see the cowl hood and el camino choo choo hood. Well I came across the Iroc daytona/turbo hood and I fell in love with it. I knew that what I wanted on my El Camino
. Well what I want to know is how much work will it take to get one of those hood to fit my car and look right or is it even possible?
thanks
Brad

Anything is possible, but I doubt you have enough time, skill, patience and money to make the Camaro hood fit. Best thing to do would be, graft the IROC/Daytona style scoop onto a fiberglass replacement hood for your elky. I'm not sure if that style scoop is available in a universal model, but if not, you can just buy a used hood and cut the scoop out of it.
Well there is someone on ebay selling just the hood scoop, but it does not look anything like the original one

I see what you mean, it does not make use of the factory louvers. If you look around for a little bit you can find a used hood, or spend the money on a new one to cut up. I have seen them for sale around here on craigslist before, or you can post a wanted ad here.
Hey I will post an ad here, but if you can help me find one i would really apreciate it.

No, but the hood/scoop does. I know it doesn't really belong here, I was just trying to help the person out.
