Hood won't line up....

I bought a plain jane stock hood to put on my firebird TA and am having some fittament issues. The front of the hood sticks up a bit at the nose

These areas here

My headlights are lined up with the fenders yet the hood sticks up in this area? How do the "pros" fix this issue?

It seems to me that you can apply some light pressure and "bend" that area to line up a little better..........would that be the way to do it?

This isn't my car btw......the batteries in my camera died and I needed something to give you guys a visual.....if it's your car I'm sorry

Re: Hood won't line up....

I'd play with the adjustments up front (those rubber hood stops) and lower them a little bit (they just twist like a screw). also does it line up good with the bumper cover? because if its high there too I'd play with the hood latch a little

Re: Hood won't line up....

It lines up even at the center of the top of the bumper cover.....the hoods not even touching the rubber bumpers.....there's about 1/4" gap between the top of the bumper and the hood. But if I move it down to with the latch to even those points out there will be a dip in the center.

I'm going out in a second to play with it some more to see what I can do

Thanks for the quick reply
