hello all i have a 85 iroc that has been painted all black. well its going to need painted again. while going through my rpo codes it said it was a black car with a silver and red stripe kit hummm....... i have yet to see a black camaro with this combo till last week i was drivin around springfield ( on the nice side of town) and there sat a black camaro with the lower silver stripe and the upper red stripe with the red iroc logo on the door. it looked pretty cool but i did not get a good look at it. i have saw the 85 camaro pic on here but that does not tell me much. i have tried ebay lookin for the some type of car but no luck. does anyone know where i can see some pics of one like this.

Well, not quite sure this is what you wanted, but here you are. It's an '84, but I think it's the color you were looking for.

also if you go to www.cardomain.com you can look up just about any make/year/model car ever made.
thats very close but the iroc i saw had the stripes in the same order. but they looked to be about 1/2 wide with maybe about 1inch of space between the two stripes.

Stock Iroc stripes were . . .
The '85-'87 has the colour stripe over black stripe with no gap.
The '88-'90 has the black stripe over the coloured stripe with a gap.
In either case, as far as I've always understood, one of the stripes was always black.
Just to confirm, what exactly is the RPO that states silver and red?

Ok. That's makes more sense. That's why I enquired as to the RPO code.
For an '85 IrocZ (RPO B4Z) the RPO code 86A is listed by Chevrolet as "Accent Stripe, Two Tone, Light Silver/Black".
The definition you're interpreting is listed for years '91+.

so what would be the right color and stripe kit for my car?

Silver over black (yes, a black stripe on black paint) with no gap and silver IrocZ door decals located towards the front of the door.

Not that it changes anything regarding the question in this topic, I would like to correct my statement above. Originally Posted by Iroctopless
