87 iroc project

i bought this 87 iroc a few months ago and have been working on getting it running and doing body work pretty much non stop. i am going to replace the quarter panel with a goodmark reproduction in the near future. i am planning on painting it a dark charcoal as well as adding 18" iroc wheels and lowering it. anyway.. the top pic is the day i brought her home and the lower pic was taken today. let me know what you think.

looks good so far, Im usually a guy who likes to save panels and straighten em but I'd definitely just replace the quarter instead of trying to straighten that!

yeah.. me too. i have messed with it some with the stud gun and it's just way too far gone. after it got hit appearantly someon beat the **** out of it from the inside so some of it is in too far and some is out too far. there's just not anything to go by. i think i could make it look good but it would never be right.. that's ok though.. goodmark stuff is awesome.

yeah low spots are the easy things to fix, high spots are a PITA though. and yeah goodmark is typically good stuff, I recently restored the body of a 67 camaro vert with all goodmark metal, everything fit fairly good, and with a little cutting and welding here and there it all fit great, except the door gaps thanks to an accident the car was in and not properly repaired from...

Re: 87 iroc project

the other side is pretty much done.. i only posted the bad side because that is the only side my wife took pictures of when i brought it home.. so for comparison reasons i went with it. and yes.. i LOVE goodmark panels. i had to replace a fender on an 81 silverado i owned a few years ago and it fit perfect.
