Would I be better off??

Alright I got a few dents in the body from a drift I screwed up.
But my question is am I better drilling holes into the body its self and using a dent popper for it, or just finding one at auto zone where I dont have to drill a hole..

Or am I just better off with using bondo (not a huge fan of it)

I want to pull the dents out before I sand her down, and prep her for paint.
So any suggestions work and would be appreciated

Bondo should never be laid thicker than 1/8th inch. Ever. It should RARELY be laid thicker than 1/16th of an inch.

Drill holes if the dent is blind (you can't reach the back of the panel) but if you can get back there, use a hammer and a dolly to pound it as close to the original shape as you can. Then you'll lay bondo, and shape so it looks clean. Sand, prime, paint!

Ok, I am confused, is your handle (Camaro <Mustang) supposed to mean:

Camaro Eats Mustang or
Camaro is less than Mustang.

I know, off topic, just had to ask.

I agree with the scary one about the use of bondo, however I would never drill holes, I'd buy a stud welder, it welds studs to the metal so you can grab a hold of the dent and pop it out with a slide hammer.

Agreed, the holes are just another place for rust to start. If you can't get to the back side of the panel, Harbor Freight has a stud weld dent puller for cheap. It may not work forever, but I used mine for over 200 welds and it still works.

how much was the stud gun your talking about? I need one pretty badly. And also dont use to much bondo its bad and will cake off or be your worst enemy. other then that the damage you describe sounds like its on your rear quarter panels etc. I would remove some of the rear interior pieces to try to hammer it back out to its shape and fix it like that. much cheaper/easier.

True about them being a place for rust to start, but I'd slather the inside of the hole with some POR-15 or other rust-preventative on a brush, and sand any off of the outside. Just in case.

Those stud welders are sweet. I saw them use one in CHP or something, and completely forgot they existed. Thanks for the reminder.

How bad are the dents? Check with the local paintless repair guys and tell them that you want "push for paint" They will raise the areas with results similar to the hammer and dolly method and will not charge nearly as much as trying to get the dent perfect. Then you can finish the area and paint.
