Fog Light on 1991 Z28
Fog Light on 1991 Z28
This seems like a simple thing to do but I am trying to replace the bulb in my passenger side fog light. How do I take the whole fog light assembly off? My chilton book says there are 2 screws that hold it in but I just see an aiming screw and a metal brack around the lense. I cant see a way to get to it from above or below.
Any one ever change one can you let me know how?
Thanks!

Yes, the fog light just has two srews on each side at the base that hold it in. Are you sure you're not talking about the headlights? There is NO ADJUSTMENT screws on the foglights. They do have "trim rings" - but they are actually a part of the lense itself, and are not removeable (without total destruction of the lamp).
Good luck finding a replacement - these are sealed beams, and aren't made anymore. An OEM foglight in good condition can be very expensive, you'll have to check eBay or something.
Many folks replace them with same-sized el-cheapo foglights from Walmart - they look the same, and are about $15 for a pair - I think they are the Blazer brand.

The mounting screws are underneath the fog light. You have to remove the grille to access them and then there just enough room to get a 10mm socket wrench in there.Or you could just unscrew the adjustment screw all the way out and the foglight can be tilted forward for access to the bulb

Thanks..I actually figured it out. There are 2 screws at the bottom. Also, I didnt have to buy an entire new lens. I was able to replace just the halogen bulb with is an 885 if that helps anyone.
Thanks for all the help...
