new here

hello All,

I just landed a '92 25th anniversary Z28 with some front end damage.

Wondering where to start looking for fenders, bumper covers, chin, and headlight assemblies. This is my first camaro, and I want to bring this one back to original

thank-you

Re: new here

any pictures of the new toy, and the damage? if you are trying to keep it all original gm parts....you cant beat the junkyard. you can probibly get the hole front assembly headlights and all from one car in about an hour if you find a good one.

Re: new here

Th junkyard for sure! The chin spoiler for 91-92 models can be hard to find, though. (And expensive to buy new.)
Some links for new parts:
www.classicindustries.com

www.yearone.com

www.gmpartsdirect.com

www.gmpartshouse.com

Good luck!

We don't heard a thing from you already. How's your first baby doing now? Were you able to manage the front end damage

not a bad idea to set your user profile up so people can see what area you are in, if your close to chicagoland area i have a few buddies with a **** load of spare parts if they aren't sold yet and of course their is thirdgen ranch out here, lafn_at_u i think is his sc name and he has anything you can think of for a third gen, hope that helps

Re: new here

Ouch, please tell me they didn't sell it to you under false pretenses. Matters not though, make it into a Z28. Is it a v6 or a V8 (their did exist a V8 RS in third gen history, just not sure which years) .

Post up some pics man, become active in the community, it will feed you good if you feed it good.

Re: new here

Also Hawks http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/and TPI Partshttp://tpiparts.net/home are good resources for parts and such. Both have been very helpful and patient with my multiple questions. Also, using the search and the advanced search will get you closer to info. Hope you didn't get taken advantage of but either way you've got a Third Gen! Welcome!

Re: new here

thank-you...got the fender, bumper and hood on it, I have a few leads on a spoiler, come spring time, I think I'll retire my grand am as my daily driver and this is going to become my toy.

I have two first gen montes, my '71 is almost too radical to drive on the street anymore, and the 4 spd monte is in the middle of a frame off resto

here's a little video clip of my '71
