Question on replacing door locks
Question on replacing door locks
My 85 IROC is missing the black trim around the passenger door lock cylinder and the left side has a crack in it.
What does it take to replace the locks, or can I just get the black trim for the cylinders?
Thanks!

Re: Question on replacing door locks
It is really easy to replace them. Order a 3 lock kit, it comes with both door locks and the rear hatch lock. (Also comes with 2 new keys) Year one, classic industries and a few others sell them for really cheap.

Yes.
Their is a metal tab, almost identical to the tab that holds the breather filter, little filter, in the air pan on carbed and TBI vehicals.
Other then that, it's just the rod for the lock.

Re: Question on replacing door locks
A locksmith by my work has replacement covers ... generic but they work... and the little chrome doors where the key goes in. Maybe one near you does too.

Re: Question on replacing door locks
do you know of anyone that has reasonable shipping on door locks? I agree, $35 is a good price, but $15 for shipping...
