Gas Door

Hello,
Can anyone tell me what models of the "Billet Gas Doors" will fit our cars? I'm talking about the gas doors that have about 8 to 10 perimeter bolts, and their usually stainless steel or aluminum. I had bought one that went on a '00 Silverado, but it was too small for out opening. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction on this one.

Interesting, Stephen. Any idea/info about how they would mount?

A search didn't provide any useful info.

That I don't know about. Just know what I've heard & looked at them in a store, and do seem to match. I just haven't bought one, yet, & done it myself.

Do you ever have a problem with the door part rubbing on the outer ring part? I do on mine and thinking about using a nylon washer or modify the latch. When they rub they scratch the paint. Just wondering. Thanks.

Re: Gas Door

Well i made the door a little smaller by sanding it so it wouldn't rub, and if you enlarge the pic i put on here, you can see a little plastic washer to keep it up of the outer ring, so far its working fine, hope this helps.

Tell us about installation. A few more pics showing fitment would be helpful.

Re: Gas Door

Bullitt Mustang gas cap door. Same dimensions as our cars. I epoxied mine in place. Fits like a charm. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/auto...t-gas-cap.html
