Re: HATCH PULLDOWN PROBS AGAIN!

Them things work good or don't.

Id dump it for a manual one or get crafty.

I welded nuts to the slide part, held the hatch shut tight weith weight then put bolts into the nuts that screwed against the track. Holding it tight in that position. So it now works like a trunk on any old car.

If you are dying ot keep it electric, buy all new part, no refurbs stuff.

If everything is new it should work, track greased well???

dissconnect wiring and hot wire it to a battery to know 100% sure its powered well, if it still fails, bad parts.

NO kit that I know of, just gotta find used parts. Never seen one work that was manual, has springs or something. But the electric sucks n cost to much to fix. Though when it does work right its ok.

Re: HATCH PULLDOWN PROBS AGAIN!

yea mines new and was workin fine until i pulled it up by hand befor it came all the way to top and released. Does anyone know or have pictures of how there wires are hooked. I heard ground wire must be in right place for solenoid to work right bc the top part is seperated by the nylon guides or some jiberish.

Well there ya go, probably screwed it up inside. They are fragiel inside.

How I ruined mine, hatch was froze shut from ice and I had to jerk it open, never worked right again and cost to much to replace the parts.

ALso ripped off the pass side door handle that night trying to get in.
