A little bit of body work

Well the 87 had a few blemishes as seen in picture 1. I decided to strip it and attempt to paint it. Started it off with a paint scraper which worked great on the smooth parts since the paint was chipping.

Re: A little bit of body work

Its my first attempt at body work/painting. The first picture is after i hit it with 80 grit, and i decided to shave off the from emblem (opinions welcomed) i covered up some chipping on the plastic.

picture 2 is the emblem shaved off

picture 3 is the nose where it had damage from scraping. it was missing a nice 1X1.5 piece

Re: A little bit of body work

grease and wax remover is always a good thing to use also.

what did you use to fill the emblem? if you used body filler be aware it may shrink a bit. they make a two part epoxy for repairing urathane for like what you are doing and it works great.
