My girlfriend and i just went out to look at a camaro today and she is going to buy it for herself. Its a 1991 Camaro B4C. (yes i checked the rpo sticker and the car over to make sure) it needs bodywork but i can do that. it runs good, tranny shifts fine, everything works. L98 with 125,xxx miles. all it needs is a gas line fix, and new tires to be able to pass inspection. Interior is in good shape. Needs a driver door as well. Car is solid otherwise. Cost $700. What do you guys think?

(worst spot on the car)

(typical third gen paint peel)
I do my own bodywork so i can fix this up easy.

wow, 700 for a B4C?! Im jealous.
looks like a great starting point, aslong as the floors and rockers are solid I'd say go for it and keep us posted on the progress.

b4c. is that the police package? interior looks pretty good but the exterior is a little worn. depending on what a b4c package is it could be a good deal as long as you have the time and money to do the body work and paint. I am always a little skepticle when I see cars in that condition. the RS badge on the side makes me wonder if it really is a L98. and the rust on the outside makes me wonder what is under the carpet. definatly not a quick fixer uppper but a good project over all.

wow i wish i could find a B4C like that. I would like to have an RS with Z28 drive train. That would be sweet. Great find.

How did that car get so messed up?
I've never seen damage like that on any car

Man, thats a steal....
That would be a great car to completely disassemble and rework it entirely.

700 could be a steal, but with the rust issues that are visible, it would be safe to assume the floors are in bad shape. I would take the time to really go over the car, especially underneath and make sure the floors are not rotted out. If they are, its going to be a nightmare.
And being a cop car, the drivetrain is most likely shot.

I thought the same, looks like it probably was hit or something then nobody took care of the chipped paint and it started rusting. or maybe they repaired it and the repair wasn't done properly.Originally Posted by 5_Speed

ok no offense but why does everybody say that cars are shot by the sight of a little bit of rust, its annoying. The car is solid i checked it out, i used to have a 91 RS which everyone on here dissed like crazy and trashed it, it had rust on the front but the rockers LITERALLY didn't have if not much rust and the car was solid as hell. Even if the B4C is beat, its still 1 of 500-600 made. so it'll be rare numbers matching. And it has the L98 engine code, G80 code, B4C code. so its legite. It'll be a fun project!

i don't think its very messed up, for it being one of under 600 made and being only $700 and its got a bang in the door, that's really about it. Its really not messed up.

I agree but typically on older cars, if theres a bad rust spot like that somewhere, theres gonna be more rust. just saying, be ready for a project.
If I was in your shoes, I'd buy that thing without thinking twice!

nobody said the car was shot. I was just saying to make sure that the floors are solid. I Have had a few cars and herd of hundreds that the floors seem solid until you hit them with a grinding wheel then a little rust spreads and when you are done the floor boards look like swiss cheese. typical New England cars. I didnt realize the B4c package was all that rare! If it really does end up being solid it should be a quick build. good luck.Originally Posted by v10viper04
