Loosen the bolt to the door hinges and have someone lift up on the door before you tighten them so when he lets off the door it will be level. What is happening is that the door sages alittle on the hinges new or old and you are not compensating for that. I hope this fixes your problem.

The other thing you need to check is to see if the hinge pin bushings are worn/broken. To check, lift up at the rear of the door. If it moves up and down, the parts are worn and need to be replaced. If you are lucky, you can just buy new pins and bushings (NAPA has them as well as many of the aftermarket places). If they are worn, adjusting the door wont last long, if at all.

http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/br...r-Pin-Kit.html One other thing to check is the window adjustment. If it goes up too far it will bind in the upper weather stripping. Lower your window and see if problem goes away. If it does, then check window adjustment.

Re: how do i fix my doors?
There are two reasons why the bottom of the door scrapes on the gfx. One is the hinge pins and bushings are worn out allowing the door to sag. The second reason is that the HEAVY and long door has bent the hinge. If your hinge pins and bushings are worn you need to replace them first (as you've done, hopefully correctly). If your door still drags on the GFX, then the hinge is bent. You have two options to repair it. You can have the door hinges re-bent at most auto body shop. Or you can buy a door alignment tool and do it yourself. I sell the EZ-Store door alignment tool. I only wish I'd discovered this tool before I bought the one made by MAC tools.

Re: how do i fix my doors?
No. A floor jack will move up the door and the entire car body. This tool acts as a lever which is a force multiplier. The end of the tool rotates on the latch pin. There is a latch pin on the tool which latches into the latch of the door. There is a hex-shaped pin on the tool that you attach a socket to along with your breaker bar to put the leverage to bend up the door. It takes quite a bit of force to re-bend the door hinge. A floor jack won't cut it.

If the pins and bushings are good and the door still sags, like others have said it's time for an adjustment. If you don't have the tool shown you can use a regular socket ... pretty big like 1" or so. Open the door and place the socket in the lower hinge (to raise the back of the door) between the 2 heavy hinge halves that come together when you close the door. Then close the door gently on the socket. Depending on the size socket you use the door could be open 6 inches to a foot or so. But you don't want it open too far. When you have pressure on the socket push the door closed some more as you lift up on the back of it. Go easy. It's better to do it twice than to over do it and try and undo it. If you did do the upper and lower hinges equally you would effectively be moving the door straight back and that can cause issues to so go easy. You are bending things so take it easy.
If you have your door aligned, the window isn't an issue, and things still don't close right you may need to adjust your striker. If it's pulling the door down when you close it move the striker up a little. And it's also adjustable in and out. The striker may also have shims (washers) behind it. It needs to fit in the latch in the right spot. If the striker is too far out it will drag on the inner part of the latch and if it isn't far enough out it will hang up on the other part. When you're done give everything a shot of white lithium spray grease. Good luck.

Re: how do i fix my doors?
Ok pay attention ... lol. I used a blue glass thing that was handy. I'm not going out to the shop to get a socket. It's cold ... and dark out there and something might get me! Use a socket ... not a handy blue glass thingy. Blue glass isn't very strong.

Put your SOCKET like this so it will contact the two heavy edges of the hinge when you close the door on it. If the socket is small it can be a tight squeeze trying to hold it in and close the door. I forgot how much room there was in these doors so you may even want to use a deep socket. Or a really big blue glass thingy. NO ... I didn't mean that!

Re: how do i fix my doors?
Yes lift on the door as you put inward pressure on it. Doing this in the lower hinge will raise the back of the door. Doing the upper hinge will lower the back of the door. Remember be gentle. Thats a long door and you can get a lot of leverage on it. It's better to do it a little bit twice than it is to go to far and have to undo it.

Re: how do i fix my doors?
Also check the hinge that stays on the doors. A new hinge will only help if bushing holes are elongated if the part of the hinge that stays on the door gets stretched the pin will move and the bushings will where out.
