my car came with two hoods, the stock one, and THIS one. I know I don't like it the way it is, but I'm not sure if I want to modify it, or get rid of it. I've been TOLD it originally cost more than 700 dollars but I don't know if thats true... If it is worth something, I'd rather not chop it up. anyone seen one of these before? its a two layer fiberglass with mounts for hinges and latch.

 

what year is it? b/c i have a 91 firebird. just wondering. might hmm.. just let me know.

 

I don't know what kind of hood that is but by the last picture it looks as if you could have a nice 400 yard rifle range.

thats VERY close, the center ridge on mine isn't as pronounced as that one, and the ridge between the "nostrils" on mine doesn't come all the way to the front edge of the hood like that one. other than that, it is VERY similar.
so, seeing as that one is going for 500, what would be a fair asking price for mine if I decide to get rid of it?

 

Is there any cracks in it or damage?? Where are you located?

 

in hamilton, IN right by the indiana/ohio line. there are no cracks in the hood, there are some scratches and scuffs in the PRIMER only, but nothing through the primer.

 

I am in Central IN (Kokomo). If you are interested in selling it let me know a price. I also have a factory hood and vents if you need one.

I've got a factory one with the vents too, the car came with the fiberglass one in the pics plus the stock, four vent hood.
I'd give you a price but I honestly don't have a clue what would be a fair price. I don't want to "give" it away, but I don't want to ask too much either. I HATE when people try to sell stuff for more than its worth.

 

Well shoot a price YOU think it is worth and is fair. If I agree I will bring cash and come pick it up

I'm pretty sure that's the one. there was a sticker on the inside of the hood that my wife noticed, and she's pretty sure it said american sports car design.
so, its a 475 hood new, how about 350?

hmmm I will have to pass. If it were 200-250 I would be interested but that is more than I want to spend on this car, not saying the hood is not worth that much but just more than I really want to spend.

 

well, as badly as I need cash right now, and being as I am not going to use that hood, I would take 250 for it.
