looking for floor pans

hey i just got a 92 rs with a body that needs some work. so i was wondering if any one knows a good site to get floor pans an other body parts from cause the local dealers for body parts where i live are asking just under 500 for one side of a full floor pan. To me that sounds like alot for just one side. so i was just wondering if any one knows of any good sites to buy from that are cheaper than that.

Thanks

Re: looking for floor pans

Hawks Third Gen Parts has them for $470 for the pair, plus shipping. I'm about to do the same thing myself, haven't ordered yet though.

Re: looking for floor pans

Where are you located? I just bought an 89 IROC shell with no rust. I am going to cut out the pans and rear quarters, and install them into mine. My driver's side is bad but the passenger side is very good with just a couple of very small spots so I would not need the passenger side. I would consider selling the passenger side. PM me if interested. Someone on here also suggested seeing if you could get a body shop to order them for you to save $.

Re: looking for floor pans

I have a couple of nice rust free floors in parts cars here in AZ. $100 each side plus shipping on a bus. You would get everything you need for about $300.

No problem on the pics, I can work on that today. They are not cut out yet but I can use a plazma cutter so there is no warpage or undo damage.
Also, I need to know where to cut so you can get everything you need.

So if you could describe what you need cut off

Re: looking for floor pans

Lots of stuff in there so I moved the carpet around to give you an idea. Super clean and not rusted at all

Paypal would be OK with me if you want to put something down I would get started

Re: looking for floor pans

So you use a plasma cutter? I want to cut mine out and I am not sure how to do it. The hardest part is where its welded to the subframe.

Re: looking for floor pans

yep, that part is no fun. I think the best thing to do is just circle around the sub frames. Once the main floor part is off you trim the rockers and frame chunks off leaving the seat braces on and the flanges for triming when the floor is installed on the next car.
