"i swear i work with some MORONS!!!"..........
---5 minutes earlier---

so as some of you know, i work at a local beach doing maintenence work here in jersey, it employs a lot of kids in high school but ive been there for 8 yrs every summer cuz i cant find a real job lol. one new kid we've got is some meat head kid still in high school who cant drive worth a crap, and i never trusted him to ever drive.

so im out on a mission to repair a toilet (yes, a crappy job, ive gotten the joke before lol) and i get a phone call to return to the shop immediately. i get back my boss says 'i dont know if it was an accident or if it was intentional....' now im thinking that someone got hurt, but then he finishes with '....but sullivan ran into your car with the toro' (toro: a gas powered vehicle similar to a golf car but can go on sand)

i take a look , theres a large dent in the back of my car now, this is the second time someones rammed the passenger side of my car, i got an estimate and it was $930, good thing theyre paying for it. the guy said 'ya know if you want, an extra $500 and i'll repaint the whole car (yeah, its a daily driver so since ive repainted it its gotten some imperfections to say the least) so ive decided that at the rate im going, i'llget it repainted and it'll get rammed again lol.

so my gf calls and says 'hows your day going?' all i can respond with is 'i swear i work with some MORONS!!!'

 

Wow.

There is only one word I can think of right now...

"How?"

I mean really, how stupid and careless can someone be. Even if he's still in high school there is no excuse to explain how incompetent he is for doing that.

I'm curious to know how big is this parking area and how fast was this guy going. Did he even tell you how it happened? Honestly, it's people like him that give us "meat-heads" a bad reputation.

I'm sorry that you have to work with "morons." Maybe it's time for you to really get out there and look for another job.

It does remind me of the time my buddies sister (I'll call her Sherry) had a lil' accident. She had a Supra and backed into a dumpster which got pushed into the side of a brand new Porsche 944 Turbo wiping out the passenger door. We were sitting at the kitchen table when the Ins adjuster called. We overheard the conversation which went something like this...

Adjuster. "Can you tell me what happend?"
Sherry: "Well I was backing up out of a parking spot when this dumpster ran into me."
Adjuster: "The dumpster ran into you?"
Sherry: "Yes and it hit me pretty hard too!"
Adjuster: "Hmmmm, so how fast was the dumpster going when it hit you?"
Sherry: "I don't know, I didn't see it coming at all." (that's 'cause she's so short she couldn't see out the back window of the car and rarely used her mirrors *lol*).
Adjuster: "Well we'll have to investigate the top speed of dumpsters and get back to you."

well he swears that the vehicle kinda 'jumped' (its essentially got a lawnmower engine in it lol so its not that great) and when he hit the gas in reverse the wheel got stuck, and it went in reverse real quick. i dont really care what he says, he was too careless and as soon as my car is fixed im going to ride my bike to work from now on lol ive done too much work on this car to risk it getting damaged here at work. im hoping the repairs come out well, there is slight orange peel in the paint and i would really like them to replicate it cuz i dont want it to look like there was any work done to it at all since the paint. the parking lot is quite large, granted i may have been parked kinda close to the garage, but in the past 5 yrs ive never had an issue with that.

i'd really like to find another job, its rough around here lol and i had a chuckle at the story of the dumpster, no one else really thought that a quote of 'we'll have to find out the top speed of dumpsters and get back to you' was very funny, i almost woke everyone up in my house with my laughing lol.

either way this kid isnt allowed to drive anymore, hes a moron and still tries to drive everywhere but i have a feeling hes on the verge of quitting/being fired, only reason he hasnt been is cuz his mom works here too. as long as this work gets done and i cant even notice there was an issue with an idiot at work, i will be happy lol
