Hatchback Trunk Problem
My birds hatchback does not close fully sometimes but will stay shut. It doesnt leak to my knowledge and sometimes it will go down fully and stay down but if i open it after it had been staying down it doesnt go back into the down position. When i bought it the previous owner removed the Fuse 20 for the Trunk im not sure if that fuse is even in now but there is a new case of them in the center console. Any thoughts? I think it might be the trunk motor thing.
Re: Hatchback Trunk Problem
If it's not pulling down all the way,or only pulls down part way and keeps turning the plastic gear in the motor in more than likely stripped.
We carry new hatch pull down motors if you need a new one. Here's a link to them on our site.

Re: Hatchback Trunk Problem
thanks Tony, im pretty sure its the first one you desribed, since I believe Fuse 20 is not in the motor will not turn the plastic gear. The previous owner said when the Fuse is in the motor just keeps sucking the trunk down and it doesnt close.
