Personally I like them but I think you will find most people on this board don't (just like most most don't like bra's either)

Well I have my back window tinted 5% under them so I really cant see anyway. But it seems to block a lot more vision out the back and a lot out the sides then when I just had my tint.
sid rs91
I figured since I had the 3rd I would get the ones that did but for some reason my light doesnt even work (prob just needs a bulb but in school so no time or money!!!) lol But ya i couldnt pass 75 for them since they run what about 300 and up new?

Re: Louvers Opinions???
If you look real close the piece right above my third break light that runs horizontal is not there. It doesnt hurt anything and is barely visible but i dont think there are any "parts" to fix it its just cracked plastic.
BTW. I will get pics posted from inside, havent had the time to get around to it lately due to college starting back up.
Re: Louvers Opinions???
Personally I've always hated louvers, there's not many aftermarket options for these cars, and it's hard enough to make them look good.
Making an already bulky rear end, bulkier looking will just completely mess the car up in my opinion. The way I've always judged cars is basically weighing in my mind what's going on at the back and rear, to sort of balance it out.
For example if you go and put on a huge 5 inch spoiler from Hawks Third Gen Parts, with a stock flat hood, it's going to look goofy, and if you add a huge 5 inch cowl hood, with no spoiler, it may look goofy like that too.
I've always figured car looks as a balancing act, too not have too much bulk or too much going on in one spot, to make it flow. Not to get to the point too quick, but them louvers just add way too much bulk in the back, but to each his own!

Re: Louvers Opinions???
As others have stated the factory type seems to look the best. I like them. Unfortunately I have the style posted in #7. I know many people do not like them at all but I do. If I could find a complete set of factory GM louvers I would get them as I could sell mine easily.

Re: Louvers Opinions???
Not a fan here. I had an 89 Iroc they looked ok on but I eventually took them off and was much happier with the look of the car. Your choice!

Re: Louvers Opinions???
I had them on my car when I got it, I felt it ruined the lines....I also noticed alot more dirt gets trapped in between the hatch glass and the body....pain in the but to keep everything.
It might have been just the style of them. I have never been real keen on them. It is you car so do what you want. If you like them, go for it, they are not hard to remove them either.
