Bought it a couple of months ago for $1700 bucks. Only 64,000 original miles. 305 TPI V8 Auto. What do you guys think?

Haha, well Bullydawg, I'de love to do that.. However, Im not all that car smart. Im still learning, I know what things are, and i know what most things do. But when it comes to TINKERING. Im pretty slow! haha, But this car has already taught me alot. BY the way.. I went to the Chico Pick and Pull.. Not a Firebird in there. :/

 

I believe its just the 1987 Trans Am. But im not COMPLETELY sure.. Would their be a way for me to check? I always just thought it was a 1987 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.

 

AH okay, NO NO its not a WS6, it has been repainted before (And it wasnt the greatest paintjob thats for sure) I believe it was originaly black and gold.

 

I honestly dont know if its a ws6, how could I check lol. Sry for all of these messages.

 

it seems to have the performance handling badge on the passengerside dash, thats why i though it was a ws6. If you look in the console you should find the RPO sticker, it will say ws6 if it is.

Also, if it has fender vents, it isn't a GTA... So that is a check, but if it has been repainted, it could have easily been altered.

I think it looks good for that price as mentioned hard to be certain in the quality of the video. It is a bit of a mystery as I believe you could only get this hood on a GTA but it has fender vents (at least the right side) which were not on the GTA. so it's hard saying what this car actually is. Have you found out yet

 

Nice looking T/A. Just for info, the hood was used for both GTAs and T/A's.

It would be interesting to see the rpo's. Most GTA options were available on the T/A as well. As a case in point, WS6 is a suspension package that was standard on the GTA but optional on the T/A. The Y84 rpo code would specify GTA.

After going through the vins.. My car fell under the category of a 1987 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. :O It didnt specify ws6 or GTA tho.
